THE CHILD CARE SUBSIDY

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) helps families reduce the cost of early education and care.

  • Introduced by the Federal Government in July 2018.
  • Designed to make early learning more affordable for Australian families.
  • Means-tested and paid directly to approved childcare providers.
  • Fee reductions are passed on directly to families.
  • The annual subsidy cap has been removed.
  • Families with more than one child aged 5 and under may receive a higher subsidy.
